Today we were outside celebrating new life at Capstone. It was a great time of fellowship and worship. We saw 4 ladies walk through the water of baptism. I know it was hot, but the Stoners were awesome. I love hearing you guys cheer and get pumped about what God is doing through Capstone.
One of my favorite parts about the DUNK’d services is seeing the T-Shirts all through the crowd. I can’t wait to have a service with 75% of the people wearing DUNK’d t-shirts.
I enjoyed the burgers on my side of the tailgate party, but some of you had some awesome desserts. I am all about the grilling out after the Gathering.
Hope to have some pictures from the event up before the end of this week. Check back soon to see them.
Set List:
October 11th Capstone held our third Dunk’d Service. We had 7 members of our Capstone Community of Faith go through the waters of baptism. It was an amazing night was we worshipped through music, scripture, testimonies, evidence of transformation and obedience. It also a special night because our sponsor church - Rocky Creek Baptist Church - joined us for this service. Rocky Creek has supported us in so many way: prayer, volunteers, encouragement, equipment, and fiancaes. We have an unbelieveable relationship with Rocky Creek and were honored that they would cancel their evening worship service to come join Capstone for our Dunk’d Service.

Sunday was a GREAT DAY at Capstone Church. Earlier in the summer we said the church doesn’t CELEBRATE enough. This past Sunday Capstone Celebrated together as a family and community of Faith. We had 9 folks get Dunk’d as they made an outward expression of an inward decision. It was awesome to see these individuals, families, couples, and children testify to the transformation than Christ is doing in their lives.
Afterwards the “Stoners” tailgated in the parking lot. Our theory is that if we get together with random strangers on Saturdays to celebrate a team of players we don’t even know. We should be even more excited as we witness our family following Christ example through the waters of baptism. We had lots of grills cooking, plenty of watermelon, and tons of celebrating.

What a great day at Capstone Church! This morning we had 9 members of our family go through the waters of baptism. It was so awesome to hear the cheers and shouts of joy from the crowd of witnesses that joined us for this celebration. This outward express of an inward decision is a beautiful picture in the power of being obedient to Christ and His commandments.
Here is a video we played last week to talk about Dunk’d Service. Unfortunately Capstone couldn’t get a real actor so we were stuck with Lead Pastor Walt Tanner.
